Viana do Castelo is a pilot zone in the north region of Portugal created in 2018, currently under the management of ENONDAS. It is the home of the Windfloat Atlantic offshore wind farm, the first semi-submersible based floating offshore wind farm in the world. The current infrastructure includes a cable of 80 MW. New infrastructure is predicted to be installed throughout 2021/2022 to raise the number of available berths and the overall cable capacity (80 to ~200 MW). -
